Warning – Backup Backup Backup
Yes, that awfull thing has finally happened to me for the first time in my life!!
My hardrive has gone on the laptop.
To non computer experts this basically means the death of the computers brain. Which means everything on there I cant get at, gone forever – photos, documents, programes, all of it! Even the nasty little clinging viruses I think!!!
I have the website backed up on pc and memory stick so thats all ok. Ive lost about 3 months worth of photos, and a million other little random things.
I used to backup on to my pc every month, but then I got a bit lax and it hasnt been done for about 3 months. Hence missing 3 months worth of things and anything that didnt get done before then.
So while im kinda lucky that I backed up somethings, I should have backed up EVERYTHING!
So thats my little warning for the day – Go now and backup everything you could possibly want if your computer died on you. Backup every week or month the new things you have added or been working on. No exscuses cos it really could happen to you!!!
BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP…….. Before it’s too late.
and if anyone comes to me and says “Told you so” I will smile and say thankyou I have learnt my lesson. Or possibly not lol……….
