Now, Im not sure how to write this without coming across as the stupiest person in the world but….
My kitten (whos not really a kitten at 9months old, but still gets called one!) has gone from being Vangellis to Evangelina… (so we can keep the van nickame) because he is actually a she. A very pregnant she.
Please don’t ask how we thought she was a he for 9 whole months lol, although the vet never disagreed when we were saying can you check him over, and is he ok etc!
So yea, kittens are on the way… I think I am more scared than she is, worried that something will go wrong with the birth and the vets will be closed and wont come out to help.
We need to go for a checkup and see if the vet can tell how many are in there, I hope not many cos I dont know where we will find homes, Greeks generally are not animal lovers.
Also feel a bit guilty about bringing more kittens into Greece when the country is already overun by strays.
But its a bit late for that now! Needless to say Van is not having anymore kittens after this little episode!!!
If anyone has any kitten / birthing tips for me, please let me know! I could do with all the help / knowledge possible.
Also, If anyone is on Crete and would like a kitten, let me know. I am very protective though - Will only let them go out to loving homes with plenty of cuddles, toys and attention!
Just think, I could go from 3 cats to 8…… Gonna need to buy more chairs!!

I am in the same boat. All these months I have been calling my cat Demon because the lady that gave me the cat said she was a he. ha ha
Now she is getting ready to have her kittens and I am scared that she will need my help and I won’t know what to do. I just moved to a new state and don’t know any vets so I am on my own. Plus, no money for vet anyway so have to do the best I can. I love my Demon and hope she will be ok. I can feel her kittens moving around a lot when she is in my lap. I don’t know how to tell when she is ready to go into labor. She hasn’t looked for a place to have them and I have fixed her a place, but she don’t seem to like the place I picked out. Just thought I would let you know that you are not alone as it happens all the time.
