Here are some of my favourite photos from my weeks break…

These were taken at Lake Kournas - It is one of only two lakes in Crete and covers a total area of about 160,000 square metres with a depth of up to 25 metres. Dense vegetation surrounds the scenic lake and the southeastern bank is lined with olive trees.

This photo was taken in the village of Spili - The village is in a wooded area with many streams. In the square there is a row of 25 water spouts in the shape of lion heads, the water comes down from the mountains and many people drink it or fill up empty bottles to save buying bottled water! I’ve never quite trusted that the water is THAT pure!!

These last two were taken at Agia Galini on the south coast of Crete. It is a small fishing village which has now become a popular destination for people looking for a relaxing, quiet holiday.
We also went to Arkadi Monastery, Rethymno Fortezza and Knossos, pictures can be seen in a previous blog post from May.
Overall, a great time
