New books (in English) cost a lot to buy here in Crete, more than I am prepared to pay anyway. I get most of my chick lit novels second hand for a euro or two which is great but for those other books… it’s gotta be a visit to the Amazon site!
I don’t get the free shipping (also they don’t ship the electricals etc etc abroad, only the books and dvds, maybe cd’s too but I never ordered any of those
so when I’m ordering other items I usually con someone into bringing the items over with them!) but anyway, it’s not overly expensive to ship here, today I got 2 books and a dvd and the shipping and tax came to about 6pounds. I’m quite happy with that…
On to the important stuff - what I bought!! (Links go to the U.K site)
The Dreamers Dictionary - Cos i’ve been having some reallllly odd dreams recently and I wanted to know what it all means.
Knitting for Dummies - I didn’t know they even did a knitting for dummies book until a friend jokingly said knitting for dummies is what you need, i said haha did a search and wow - It actually exists! So yep, in the winter i’m gonna learn to knit. Scarves all round for Christmas presents
The Assassin Dvd - This is one of my favourite films, seen it on tv a few times, love it more each time I watch it so thought it was time to own it!
My wishlist on Amazon is still gigantic though… Next book I want is The Freelance Photographers Handbook… Can’t decide If I should get the 2007 one which is available or wait for the 2008 one which comes out in October. If I was sensible I would wait, but I don’t wanna wait!!
See, told you all I was a bookworm didn’t I
