So I know i’m not supposed to start knitting til the winter cos I will get to hot but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to “practise” the stitches….. see if I can do it. Trouble was I didn’t have any knitting needles so I umm…… practised using pencils. Lol! Hey it seemed to work, I was doing something and it looked the same as the diagrams in the book
Today I went and bought some proper knitting needles, I wasn’t totally sure what sort I needed so I got some double pointed ones (3.5mm) and some umm normal long ones (also 3.5)…. whatever they might be called. They do seem awfully long though (40cm, is that normal?)… like i’m going to do myself or someone else (maybe a cat) some damage…. Oh well. We will see I guess. I remember something about needing longer needles for big things like jumpers in the book so I suppose they might be ok. Guess it’s my fault for being really short that the needles are as long as my arm. Anyway the shop didnt have any “shorter normal” needles so they will just have to do.
Knitting pro’s please stop laughing at me!!
