Wiltshire Cottage

Inside the Cottage Since a few of you are interested to know where I stayed in Wiltshire while I was away I thought I would show you :)

Linleys Farm Cottages is the website - The photos on the site just show the large cottage, there are two smaller ones opposite, one of which we stayed in.

Basically the cottage was so good I can’t find anything to complain about… Usually I can find atleast one thing!!
I guess the cows moo’ing in the morning was a bit of a nuisance as I wanted to have a lie in but couldn’t sleep through the noise. But then I knew the cottages were on a working farm so it’s to be expected!

We had chickens come and visit us in the garden, we named 2 of them - Greedy Gloria and Friendly Freda not forgetting Roy the Rooster but I call all rooster’s Roy! The chickens fascinated me and I think Danny was keen on them as well… Really want to own some chickens now. For eggs of course… Im not sure I would be able to eat a “pet”. I don’t think the other cottages had the chicken visits… we were closest to the farm house so they just wondered over. That “made” it for me… the tiniest of things amuse me :)
The farm dog was really friendly and as soon as we arrived wanted us to play with him! Every time Danny got home from work the dog would be there to greet him… Danny is a dog person you see so I think Mr Doggy knew he would get a bit of attention from him.

What else… Inside the cottage it’s all wood and stone… Really spacious. I should have taken more photos inside and from the front but I never got around to it.

If I’m not living in Wiltshire next year then we will certainly go back for another week. :)
