Scott Escaped

scott-blogYou’ll recognise this face from a post a few months back when he went missing for a week…. Well now it’s kinda worse as he escaped at the vets when my Dad took him for a check up. :(:(:(

You’ll probably be asking HOW????? like everyone else has. Basically vets in Greece aren’t like in the UK (and I presume the U.S) – You don’t go in a little room and close the door behind you… It’s just a large room where the door is often left open with people coming in/out.

He had never been to the vets before so was obviously a bit scared (Dad said he ran for it when the vet asked “has he been done”? Which I find quite amusing… Poor boy was worried he wouldn’t be able to go after the girl cats anymore! With other cats we have taken it’s always been ok…. Just this little adventurous “scroat” that likes to worry us.

I have guilt… because if I had been there I would have gone as well and it would have been more people to pin him down… :( I didn’t sleep much last night, was feeling very sad cos I love all of those cats, as you know.

I just hope he wonders home across the fields as it’s only a 10min car journey… No towns to go through… no big roads providing he doesn’t take a wrong turn… My pendulum swinging says he’s alive and not lost so hopefully… Fingers crossed in a week or two (or less) he’ll make it home.

Will keep you posted… In the meantime I’ll be off to the pet shop to buy a harness thingy to take/send back home so that when anyone goes to the vet in future they have to wear that with the lead tied to someones wrist or the cage door or something.
