Travels
On Friday we are doing a super quick trip to Cambridgeshire to see my friends/family before I go back to Crete on Tuesday.
Return flights will be booked this week (hopefully tonight!) but I keep changing my mind about when to fly back / when to have Danny come over… It was going to be the first week of Jan, then the middle-end but now i’m thinking the middle of Feb. Because then I won’t have as much cold weather to put up with… and it gives us an extra month for making more $$$.
I’m finding it a little difficult to pack for two events at the moment… Friday night I won’t need much… a change of clothes etc and the early xmas presents I have bought everyone. But when I’m also trying to work out what to leave here and what to pack for Crete I get confused. In theory all my Summer clothes can stay in Dannyland to get damp (no central heating). I don’t want to carry things back and forwards a quarter (or less) of the way around the world when I won’t need or use them.
I’m a little bit worried that customs will open up my suitcase thinking I’m transporting drugs because it’s 85% full of books for my Dad which I have been buying cheap at the bootsales. They might want to check they arent hollow?
So anyway, because of the books it’s actually impossible for me to take most of my own clothing / belongings home since I don’t have the space but I still have to make decisions… Do I really need to take a fleece jumper, a hoody and a black jumper with me (only to cart them back again in Jan/Feb) or will I find sufficient clothing at home which I have forgotten about after being away for 5 months?!
Next time I blog I should be back on Greek soil… with return flights booked and hopefully a returned Scott…
